Portrait Ava - part 4/4
OPEROSE |20/01, 2024

We are wrapping up our series on our first work pants, AVA, by discussing a few more details.
In a previous post, we mentioned that we put a lot of effort into the fit and stretch material, but we forgot to highlight the raised back section. This detail came about after our focus group expressed frustration over constantly seeing their colleagues' "coin slots." The raised back, combined with the stretch over the seat, ensures you feel completely secure in keeping your backside private.
Along with this, we also designed the belt loops at two different heights, allowing you to adjust the belt placement to suit your waist height.
Another request from the women in our focus group was for the front pockets to be truly deep, and we’ve received a lot of positive feedback on the fact that they are—on all our pants.
Apart from that, the pants feature a few fixed leg pockets. The phone pocket has evolved quite a bit over the years, growing in size as phones have become larger. The closure has also been updated and now features a flap, following feedback that debris was falling into the pocket.
AVA also has a ruler pocket on the right leg. This pocket is a perfect example of a detail that has been adjusted and then fine-tuned even further based on user feedback. At present, it includes a knife pocket, a button for securing a knife sheath, and a strap for threading a larger knife through.
And as you may have noticed, AVA doesn’t have fixed tool pockets at the waist—they’re detachable. But since they work so well and fit all our pant models, they definitely deserve their own dedicated post in the future.
