Circular Monday became our circular week!

Week 47: A Full Week of Circularity

During week 47, we dedicated the entire week to circularity. It all began with Circular Monday, a Swedish movement that serves as a counterbalance to Black Friday. This is the third year we have taken part in Circular Monday, and this time, we extended it to a full week with even more exciting projects.

Buying and selling kicked off on Monday and Tuesday!

The most sustainable garment is the one that gets worn, and throughout the week, we facilitated the buying and selling of second-hand workwear trousers. This means that some workwear trousers have found new homes and will hopefully be part of many great experiences with their new owners.

At the time of writing, there are still a few second-hand workwear trousers available. If you're interested, have a look on Instagram, where you’ll find them under the saved stories titled "Second hand."

We also patched up some workwear trousers.

Sometimes accidents happen, and you might get a small tear in your workwear trousers. The key is to mend it quickly before it gets worse. On our YouTube channel, you’ll find videos showing how to repair your workwear trousers yourself. There are different techniques available, from simple patches to sashiko embroidery. You can also find instructions and tips in our blog posts tagged "repair."

Give your workwear trousers a chance to last a little longer!

And now for the most exciting project: Natural dyeing!

Rusty nails, onion skins, and eucalyptus leaves!

Rusty nails, onion skins, and eucalyptus leaves!

On Thursday, we welcomed Maja, who runs @axelinas_manufaktur, along with her colleague Anna-Maria—both experts in natural dyeing. The whole space was filled with pots, onion skins, and an array of fascinating dyeing materials. The technique that fascinated us the most was ecoprinting—where eucalyptus leaves and rusty objects were rolled into the workwear trousers, then soaked in a vinegar bath. We kept the bath warm for a few hours and then let the fabric cool overnight.
